Meet Some Happy Pups!

Indiana

Indiana found her forever home through Save-a-Pet in Port Jefferson, NY. Her new parents saw her photo online about two weeks after they got married and knew right away that she would complete their family. Indiana is the light of their lives. She started out very nervous--as is so often the case with new adoptees--but is becoming more confident and more playful every day. A month into her new family life and her parents can't imagine their lives without her.

Pluto

Pluto was found abandoned in the woods of Bayamon, PR. Now he lives in Oxford MA, thanks to our partner the Sterling Animal Shelter. In other words, he's come a long way. Pluto has doting human parents, who love him very much and make sure he has everything he could ever want. It warms our heart!

Homeward bound!

These puppies were part of some big transports this week sending so many Satos to the east coast. We flew 20 to SPCA Florida and 12 to Sterling Animal Shelter!

Four puppies looking for help

These four puppies were abandoned in a cardboard box outside the gate of one of our rescuers. They are now safe and sound in a foster home. We’ve named them Jacob, Max, Sophie and Scarlett. It was clear that these puppies had been neglected as they were full of fleas and parasites. They were also hungry and thirsty. We took them to the vet and they’ve gotten flea baths and medicine to clear them of the parasites. They’re on the road to recovery! Can you chip in a few dollars tonight to help us care for these loving puppies? We are grateful for your support. https://allsatorescue.org/help/

A new life for Otto

Otto found a wonderful home in Worcester, Massachusetts thanks to our partner Sterling Animal Shelter. Otto is a great little guy, and he's having a blast with his new canine sibling. They play all the time and get along really well. Even the two cats feel comfortable around him! He’s super mellow! Otto has a lot of fun in store for him. His new dad is retired and likes to hang out with his pets as much as possible. Otto now has a fenced in backyard that he can access whenever he wants. He's also going to be going on lots of neighborhood walks and hikes. We’re thrilled for Otto and love getting these updates from adopters!

Hurricane Fiona Hit Us Hard

The power is out across the majority of the island and so is the water. We’re also dealing with severe flooding. These photos, taken by our rescuers, show the flooding in Arecibo and some dogs in a foster home staying safe in Bayamon just before Hurricane Fiona hit Puerto Rico. We’re doing the best we can caring for all the dogs in our foster homes given the circumstances. Donate to help the Satos during these difficult times.

From Injury to Agility

You may remember Tobby, the sweet boy we rescued last May with a terrible leg injury. He had likely been hit by a car. We got him to safety and took him to a vet who amputated his back leg. We wouldn’t have guessed then that Tobby had a future in dog agility. But this lucky pup, now known as Traine, has landed on his feet. His adopted parents, the Krenitskys of Naples, Florida, are giving him every chance to shine. From steak tips and squeaky toys, to pet-friendly hotel stays and state-of-the-art agility courses, Traine has put his sad past behind him.
