  • Information for Tourists

If you are a tourist and find a dog that you would like to rescue...

If you live in the United States, it's very easy to take a Sato back home with you. We would be happy to walk you through the process, as we LOVE to see Satos find forever homes.

Step 1: Get the dog to a vet
The animal will need a complete checkup and vaccinations, as well as a health certificate dated within 10 days of your scheduled departure. If the dog has health issues that prevent its being able to return with you on your flight, we will try to work with you to find options.

Step 2: Check with your airline
Every airline has a different policy regarding traveling with a pet. You need to check ahead to be sure you are in compliance.

Step 3: Buy an airline-safe kennel
You can find these at any Walmart.

Step 4: Get to the airlport early
It's good to be there at least two hours before your flight is scheduled to depart.

Step 5: Give your Sato lots of love!
