Stella found a home in Phippsburg, Maine, thanks to our new partner, Maine Dog Rescue. Stella has a very sweet nature and is settling in after her long trip and initial shock at leaving the tropics for a New England winter. She now lives in a house near the edge of the woods and is having a great time learning all the new sounds and smells. Her mom even made her a warm coat for the winter.

Jacob is adjusting very well to his amazing new home in MA , which he found through the Sterling Animal Shelter. He is already loved very much. He has a big brother, Winston (cat) and a big sister, Peri (dog). Peri was also adopted from Sterling last December. Jacob's new parents are empty nesters, so they tell us that their pets are their world!

These two cuties were adopted right before the Super Bowl and received the appropriate new names--Drake and Maye. They found their homes through Cape Ann Animal Aid in Gloucester, MA. Their new parents had sadly lost a previous cat just a month earlier and were heartbroken. We are thrilled that two cats from Puerto Rico may be able to fill that void.

Stella found her wonderful home through our partner Cape Ann Animal Aid in Gloucester, MA. Stella is thriving and super happy to spend lots of time with her new mom and a big brother (feline) named Atticus. She LOVES having a comfy place to stretch out.

Nellie now lives with two big brothers: Finn (goldendoodle) and Theo (Maine coon cat). She loves to try to get Theo to play, but he's not so sure yet. Nellie was so tiny when she went to her new home but was confident, comfortable and purring up a storm! Nellie found her home through Cape Ann Animal Shelter in Gloucester, MA. Her new family says she is the perfect addition.

Rio and Rex (and, no, we don't know which is which!) were adopted together. They absolutely love to snuggle and love belly rubs. Rex is just over 14 lbs and Rio is just over 10 lbs. Rex is an absolute momma's boy and Rio loves his human brother. They do zoomies all over the place and absolutely love all the toys they have.

Madagascar found a wonderful home through Midcoast Humane in Brunswick, Maine. He is so happy--even with all the decisions he has to make on a daily basis. Does he play with a squeaky toy or should he chew on his rawhide bone? If it's the former, should he start with the elephant or go right for the red ring? Maybe he can fit them all in his mouth at the same time? Lucky pup has a long Maine winter ahead of him in which to figure it all out.

Bentley found an absolutely incredible home through the Humane Society of Tampa Bay in Florida. After his scary start to life, time on the streets, and the long plane trip to Florida, he was a bundle of nerves. But his new parents were super patient and understanding. We couldn't be more grateful to them. He's made lots of progress over the years. He loves to sit in the sun in his backyard or take a nap in one of his comfy beds. His family loves him and he loves them. They feel blessed to have him in their lives.

Suki found her home through Midcoast Humane in Brunswick, Maine. She is doing so well--happy, spunky, and a great trail dog. She loves going for walks at a local preserve where she can splash in the water and get her zoomies out, as well as hanging out on the porch with her person. Suki is very particular about food and is not very treat motivated, which is pretty unusual for a Sato! She is dearly loved.

All it took was a photo--Coquito's new family fell in love with him the moment they saw his little face in a jpeg. They live in MA, but made a long drive to our friends at Midcoast Humane in Brunswick, Maine to be first in line when he became available for adoption. This lucky pup now has two human siblings that he adores, parents who are at home often so he's never alone, a big yard, comfy bed, plenty of toys, and laps to nap on. Life is good!

Sofia has relocated to the beautiful northeast coast of Massachusetts. She is adjusting to the cooler temperatures and loves the refreshing, salty air from the ocean. She and her new mom walk almost two miles every day. Sofia befriends every canine and human that she meets on these walks. She is especially fond of big dogs. She is a natural peacemaker. She adores draping her body across her mom's at naptime.

It's been a year since Coco (on the left) went to her new home. She has been such a happy addition to her family!!! She has a sweet and feisty personality that makes her family all laugh. She and her brother Mario (also a Sato) have become best friends. She loves to follow her father everywhere outside doing projects and yard work and takes lots of rides in his truck. She loves long walks with her human sisters and her mom. She loves to be outside!

Rubi goes by many names: Rubi-Doo, Rubix-cube and Rubi-con. She found her wonderful family through Cape Ann Animal Aid in Gloucester, MA. She is smart and lovely. She has been having lots of adventures with her new family including trips to the dog park, walks on the beach, homecoming, and hikes with the Boy Scouts. She is loved and treasured. Rubi sleeps in bed with her humans and eats a mixture of homemade dog food and kibble. Her best friend is a pug named Mr. Puddles.
Artemis, aka Queen Artie, has been in her forever home now for about eight months and things are going super well. She has been a bright light in her parents' life, as she joined their home not long after their previous feline resident passed away at age 22. Artemis is so adorable and she knows it! She is great with her human brothers and there may even be a feline sibling in her future.

Mina found a wonderful home where she has a big sister named Ollie who is a boxer mix. They play together all day and most nights. They adore one another. Mina and Ollie teamed up to take over their dad's bed. (If he's really good, they'll let him have a little space.) Mina is a small dog with a big personality, but you can probably tell that from the photo.

Anro and Ricci were adopted together from Buddy Dog in Sudbury, Massachusetts. (We're not sure who is who in this photo.) They are doing great in their new home. Anro was very social right away and Ricci was shy, but has warmed up. Their new family love them both very much and tell us theyt are very grateful to have Anro and Ricci in the family.

Penny (on the left) is a sweetheart whose parents love her endlessly. Everyone who meets her falls in love right away! She has an adopted brother named Bentley who is two months younger than her. As you can see here, they are crazy about one another.

George traveled to the SPCA in Lakeland, Florida in 2022 and was adopted right away. Sadly, his owner passed away after three years. A family friend took George in, but for whatever reason, that didn't work out and George was surrendered to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. That's where this lucky Sato found an extraordinarily great home. His new family adores him. They say he is an absolute sweetheart. His DNA test shows that he is a true supermutt. We LOVE our supermutts!

Hazel is enjoying her first New England summer. She found a wonderful home through Cape Ann Animal Aid in Gloucester, MA. Her new family tell us that she is a beautiful, healthy, well behaved girl and that they love her very much. She will be well taken care of for her entire life.

Wilfred just celebrated his three month anniversary in his forever home, thanks to Midcoast Humane in Brunswick, Maine. His new mom had recently lost her 18-year-old dog, so Wilfred's energy level and sharp teeth were a bit of a shock. (His nickname is "Baby Shark!") Wilfred started out sleeping in his crate, but quickly convinced his mom and three feline siblings that it would be much more fun to all bunk together. He's been hiking, on car rides, out boating, and swimming. He has a goofy personality and falls asleep in the car, just like a child. What a lucky boy!

We are always so proud when one of our rescues goes on to have an illustrious career. So it is with great joy that we report Milo has been named Office Manager at the vet clinic at the Humane Society of Ocean City in NJ. He accompanies his mom to work every day and has his very own chair where he can greet pets and their owners. He brings much needed love and support to staff and clients. He even helps out at fundraisers and parties. When he has time off, he loves chasing squirrels and rough housing with his sister Bubbie , who's also a sato. Well done, Milo!

Daisy May was an evacuee following the devastation of Hurricane Maria in 2017. She ended up at the Peninsula ASPCA in Newport News, VA. She's now eight years old and doing great. She is best buddies with her beagle sibling. They are true partners in crime. We are thrilled to note that Daisy May is our two thousandth posting in the happy ending section!

Enzo found his home through our partner in Brunswick Maine, Midcoast Humane. He is a sweet and gentle dog, who is much loved by his new family. He was first rescued by someone who found him tied up 24/7 in the full sun. These days Enzo prefers to spend his days on a porch enjoying a cool sea breeze. His first rescuer asked us to take care of him while they were away briefly---so we did. They never came back to claim him. But their loss is Enzo's new family's gain.
